When an administrative situation feels urgent or overwhelming, protect the next deadline and build a clear record one step at a time.
Write the issue in one sentence. What decision, act, omission, delay, or complaint is affecting you?
Record the date. Note when it happened and when you first knew about it.
Save the notice. Keep the email, memo, message, form, or verbal direction; write a dated note if it was verbal.
Check for a deadline. Look at the document, policy, grievance guidance, or complaint process. Do not assume informal discussions pause it.
Choose one next action. Ask for reasons, request the evidence, contact the right support office, or begin the required form.
